The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to commence on March 26. As many as 10 teams will battle it out for the ultimate glory over the course of two months with the final set to be played on May 29. With only just three weeks to go, the BCCI announced the schedule for the much-awaited tournament and the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the opener.
Since last two years IPL i.e. Indian Premier League had played in the UAE i.e. United Arab Emirates due to the COVID-19 surge, but IPL 2022 is scheduled to be played in India. In the IPL 15 there will be 10 teams which is gonna be hilarious for the IPL or Indian Premier League fans.
Last year only 8 teams had played the IPL matches, which were Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore & Sunrisers Hyderabad. The new two which are going to be the parts of Indian Premier League 15 are Ahmedabad Lions & Lucknow Nawabs.

A total number of 70 league matches and 4 Playoff games will be played in the duration of 65 days.
The 15th season will start on 26th March at the Wankhede stadium with a blockbuster clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

There will be 12 double headers in total with the first match starting at 3:30PM IST. All evening matches will start at 7:30PM IST.
The final game of the league stage will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings on 22nd May at the Wankhede Stadium.
